Can I authenticate using my Open Directory credentials?

Yes, Open Directory authentication is supported out of the box in VNC Enterprise Edition. You or your Mac OSX Server Administrator will need to ensure that you have a user account on the server machine, and the local VNC Server machine is connected to the Open Directory master.

To connect your Mac to your "Network Account Server" (Your Mac OSX Server), you need to navigate to "Accounts" in "System Preferences", select "Login Options" (1) and then click "Edit.." next to "Network Account Server" (2). You can now add your Mac OS X server address (3).

Next, you simply need to add your Open Directory user or group to the "Mac password" configuration in VNC Server properties, and you'll be able to connect to it using your Open Directory credentials.
