Can I connect over the internet from VNC Viewer Plus to an AMT KVM server?
VNC Viewer Plus is primarily intended for use within a domain environment. It can connect over the internet to an AMT KVM server computer but, due to routing restrictions, it is not currently possible to connect over the internet to two AMT KVM computers within the same environment. One AMT KVM server computer can be connected by forwarding ports 16992, 16993, 16994, 16995 (depending on whether or not you require secure or unsecured connections).
Unless strictly necessary, we do not suggest this for security reasons. Whilst there are security methods in place to prevent unauthorized access, unlike VNC Server (which includes additional security methods aimed specifically for those connecting over the internet), VNC Viewer Plus and Intel AMT KVM are intended to be used in an internal domain environment.
