How to enable logging at the deploying computer and for each target computer

VNC Deployment Tool creates a log file on the target computer at C:\vnctool.log, by default. If the C:\ directory is not writeable, the target computer's log file location can be changed by creating a Registry key HKCU\Software\RealVNC\VNCTool\installLog on the deploying computer and enter a suitable string value, for example "c:\Temp\vnctool-target.log".

VNC Deployment Tool can also capture a log at the deploying computer. To enable logging run VNC Deployment Tool using the following command-line:

vnctool.exe -log=*:file:100

This will create a log file at C:\Temp\vnctool.log  Please ensure that C:\Temp first exists and is writeable.
