Does VNC log information for auditing purposes?

Yes, VNC logs the following:

The time and originating IP address of all connection attempts
The user name of the connecting user, if platform native authentication is being used
The time of all disconnections
Error messages

On Windows, VNC logs this to the built-in Windows Application Event Log.
On OSX, VNC logs to the console log
On Linux/Unix, VNC logs to various locations based on usage type.
